Zip-Chem® D-5263NS is an aircraft cable lubricant and rust preventive. D-5263NS is a special formulation consisting of a blend of oils that conform to Mil-PRF-32033 (formerly VV-L-800). D-5263NS is a general purpose, low temperature, and water displacing preservative oil that is used as a lubricant and rust preventive for general aircraft applications, such as cables. D-5263NS can maximize life for all aircraft cables. It can also be used effectively on small guns, machine guns, and precision machine parts. D-5263NS is available in bulk form as ZC-5263.


Application of Product

D-5263NS is used as a cable lubricant for cargo door hinges and door cable lubrication. D-5263NS can be used in conjunction with the Formit® extensions to provide targeted spray to areas that may be difficult to reach but need to be coated. Please refer to our Formit® technical data sheet for more information. D-5263NS is also currently being used for the following applications:

  • Pylon bearing cleaning prior to lubrication
  • Lubrication of safety blocker installation on tail cone work platform
  • Other Lubrication Applications

  • Wide Temperature Range (-70°F to 300°F)



The oil used in D-5263NS conforms to Mil-PRF-32033, Nato Code O-190. D-5263NS is called out in Boeing DPM 5481-1 as well as UAL OIL 4501-125C.

  • Flash Point of the Oil: 290°F
  • Pour Point: -70°F (-57°C)
  • Specific Gravity (H20=1): 0.8
  • Vapor Density: Heavier than Air
  • Viscosity, @40°C: - >11 CST
  • Viscosity, @-54°C: - <60,000 CST
