Use Sur-Prep^® PenEtch™ HFN on titanium and titanium alloys, such as fan blades.

Follow PPE and protection guidelines called out in Boeing Task 70-43-24-100-801-G00 Class B.

Directions For Sur-Prep^® PenEtch™ HFN Kit Usage
1.) Make sure that primary plastic pen structure is secured
2.) Remove black screw top lid from the plastic pen and discard it
3.) Remove the nitric solution black screw top from the glass bottle
4.) Pour nitric acid solution from the glass bottle into the plastic primary pen structure
5.) Attach Dauber screw top with the plastic snap to the plastic primary pen structure on cap and secure it
6.) Agitate the contents of the Sur-Prep^® PenEtch™ HFN in a controlled manner for 1 minute
7.) Properly discard shipping caps and glass nitric acid bottle
8.) Follow Sub Task 70-43-24-110-003-G00 for proper etching procedures.
