Claims On US EPA Registered Disinfectants Against Delta Variant and Other Emerging Strains of SARS-CoV-2

With new strains of Covid-19 emerging, Zip-Chem monitors these variants and ensures that its current disinfectants, AeroDis® 7127, Calla® 1452, and Calla® 1452 RTU are effective against them.  Zip-Chem’s products, AeroDis® 7127, Calla® 1452, and Calla® 1452 RTU are on the EPA’s N list of products with emerging viral pathogens and human coronavirus claims for use against SARS-CoV-2.

According to EPA, all strains and variants of Sars-CoV-2 can be eliminated with any product that is on EPA’s N list of products, which includes AeroDis® 7127, Calla® 1452, and Calla® 1452 RTU.  The US EPA also points out that the efficacy of those disinfectants are not impacted by the genetic changes that the virus goes through.  These viruses are destroyed by being chemically inactivated by the properties that are in List N disinfectants like AeroDis® 7127, Calla® 1452, and Calla® 1452 RTU.  In order for a virus to become difficult to destroy, it would have to develop physical features that are resistant to these chemicals.  So far, the physical properties of Covid-19 have not changed even though it is changing over time.

Therefore, AeroDis® 7127, Calla® 1452, and Calla® 1452 RTU are effective at destroying Covid-19 and all its emerging variants.  Additional information can be found at https://www.epa.gov/coronavirus/do-disinfectants-kill-newer-strains-coronavirus.
